No matter what heads I tried, I couldn't get my floor toms sounding good. They always had a dead thump instead of a deep growl. I noticed that when I picked up the floor toms and held them by the rim, the sound completely changed. They resonated beautifully. I thought about buying a much more expensive system to fix the problem, but found these online. I bought them, installed them, and played them. It was like a was holding the floor toms off the ground. The floor could no longer stop the sound dead in its tracks. Now they sing out when I play them!

They go on the leg of your floor tom, to keep from scratching the floor, and to prevent the drum from sliding around the floor. Not a lot to expect. They were a bit expensive, for three chunks of rubber, but they look cool, with their little cushion of air thing going on. I don't think that the holes in the feet really do anything to improve the resonance of the drum, but whatever. They were very easy to install and perform as expected I bought my current set used, about 10 years ago, and the floor tom was missing one rubber foot on one of the legs. I've been meaning to buy these replacement feet forever, and finally remembered. Now my kit feels complete!
