I have a new set of pearl Decade Maple, which are a great sounding drum set for money, I took the Tom mounts off the kick, used Pearl cover plate and purchased a SPL stand, until I buy a rack system, bought 10", 12" and 13" R2 air suspension Tim mounts, along with Evans ec2s frosted heads, and I just can't not stress how suspending the toms with R2 mounts and Evans ec2s frosted has changed the sound of my toms, the Decade Maple sounding surprisingly great with stock heads mount on bass, but, if you are thinking about doing this, IMHO, don't wait, I honestly can not express how these mounts both freed up and changed the sound and volume of my drums! Totally satisfied and will do this again in a heartbeat, and the folks at Lexington Ky guitar center are FANTADTIC, won't take my bis anywhere else, even if it is a hour plus drive away! I'm beyond satisfied
