I am in the market for an accessory stand to hold my phone, keys, wallet, drink, etc. while playing live. I started out by looking at the Meinl accessories/percussion stand but noticed this Pearl stand while looking online. Nobody had reviewed this yet but I decided to give it a try. I am a "Pearl guy" having always been happy with their hardware, drums, and products overall. I took this out of the box last night, looked at the little clamp and wondered "how will this attach to my hi-hat stand?" I read the box and saw "mount not included." What you see pictured it NOT a cymbal mount. The stand has two separate sides, long and short, to where you can attach the little quick release clamp. Either way, you still need a cymbal mount! The description is incredibly misleading. It might easily attach to a mic or cymbal stand IF you also buy a separate mount attachment! So frustrating. I am taking this back to my local store (to avoid shipping charges) and will be buying the Meinl, which includes the cymbal stand mount already built-in. Bad design, Pearl! I understand the concept of making us buy more of your accessories but this isn't a cell phone and you are not Apple. We want it to work out-of-the-box!
