Bought these to start a basic and cheap live audio setup for my man. Im using a QSC gx3 poweramp to run them, they sound great playing my ipod through them (need to get the band together to see how they preform then). For a cheap, but good quality passive speaker these are an excellent choice! I give them 4 stars because they only have 1/4in inputs on the back, and the manual that came in the box had different power specs than what the websites have...

Bought 2 of these for my cheap beginner PA system as I train to become a professional sound technician. For the price, you really get a lot! Great sounding highs and mid, and enough bass to get by if your not running heavy kick or bass guitar through. Im using a QSC GX5 power amp, pushing 300watts per channel, seems like a good match up for these, the manual I got said 200watts RMS, not 400 like the websites (???). I gave it 4 starts because of that, and the fact it only takes a 1/4 input. But the cabs are nice and big for a 12" woofer, and build quality seems all there. Great choice for beginners!

Can this substitute for Peavey Intense 200? I have a Peavey 684 power amp.
