collapse expand iconDescription

The PV 118 Sub is a compact, vented subwoofer system using an 18" heavy-duty woofer with a 3" voice coil and a 65-oz. magnet. The black, perforated steel grille and steel corners provide protection and a professional appearance, and the sturdy steel handles allow ease of transport. A top polemount for 1-3/8" stand poles is incorporated and can be connected in parallel for daisy-chaining or to send a full-range signal to a P.A. cabinet. The impressive 400W program power rating allows plenty of gut-pounding bass. The internal low-pass crossover network, along with the vented enclosure, provides great bass response that will add the thump you desire.

This Sub Rocks And Is A Great Value!

I did blow the crossover out on my first one after almost a year of abuse. But I bought another one and am in the process of getting the crossover replaced. Either way for 250 bucks you can't beat the bass that this thing puts out! Every bar or banquet room that I do pounds, with any type of music I play! You need to forget about those expensive subs and just get the cheap Peavey sub! You need nothing more than what this produces! I can't wait to run 2 subs for my big shows, it's gonna be amazing! My other peavey PR speakers are amazing too...Go on a nice vacation instead of spending that extra money on mackies that aren't even the same quality that they used to be but are the same price!

Low end , Had to replace the speaker with the Eminence Omega

Bass was not there, so replaced the subs with the Eminence Omega. Also replace the back connectors with the speaker on connectors. Also sub top, replaced with M20 thread OnStage poles.

I have had my pair of PV 118's for years! Probably around 15 and they work great ! For the Price there is nothing better. They are durable and reliable. And look good. I am a wedding dj and weekend after weekend i use them with my Yamaha 15" 2 ways. I use a QSC amp to power them both and they sound wonderful. They only bad thing is after a while ( 3-4 years) you will have to replace the feet. Not a big deal!
