    Just want to make sure I am doing the right thing. Are these speakers truly compatible with the Peavey XR-S Powered Mixer (8 channels - 1,000 watts)? It says that the mixer has a peak of 1500 watts. The speakers' peak is 800 watts. I'm believing this set-up will work as long as we don't crank up the volume astronomically.

    OK, the mixer has an RMS of about 450 Watts. The speakers will comfortably handle about 400 watts. You seem to know what you’re talking about.They’ll be fine.
