The Peavey PVi 8500 proved to be a simple, easy to use, solution to provide music and voice with effects for in home bar karaoke systems when multiple microphones are used. Sound quality was very good and had more than enough power for small to medium size room environments.

The unit has great capability in shaping the sound just the way you want it. I use the built-in amps to run the main speakers, and the monitor output to an external amp to run my monitor speakers. I use the FLS in the monitor side, to minimize feedback in the monitors. The FLS is a little tricky to use, but it does help me get more volume out of the monitors before feedback sets in. The unit has great sound, but it's best suited to small venues. The power efficiency is fantastic. I can run this unit off a single marine battery and a power inverter for hours on a single charge. The control layout is great for someone who is performing while simultaneously managing the sound. I took a risk buying this unit, but I really love it. It doesn't have quite the power as the multi-channel amp it replaced, but the sound quality and versatility is superb. I highly recommend it for small to medium size venues.

So far so good.... For a powered amp it does well. Bluetooth and SD card functions could be better. All around a nice setup. With 20% discount you can't beat it for under $400.
