Peavey SP 2 2-Way 15" Speaker

I am a mobile DJ. At this time I have only tested these speakers at home. They seem to be well built and have nice strong look. The sound through the speakers was clean and even nicer after a little tweaking through the Mackie FX16 Pro Mixer. They also have some punch. I am satisfied thus far and will give them 4-stars only because I haven't used them out on a gig yet. However they seem very promising towards delivering sound. Setup: Crown XLi 2500 Amp. Signal sent from a Pioneer DJ Controller to a Mackie FX16 Pro to the Crown Amp on Livewire Elite 12g Speaker Cable speakON to speakON 50 ft. Black cables. They took everything the Crown XLi 2500 could offer and did not back down. I need a more powerful amp.

These are great speakers. But for an oldie in a oldies and classic rock band it would be nice if they could come out with one of these is a light weight version such as the PR series. If you live in a second floor apartment and lug your gear back and forth you better have some help. i almost bought one yesterday. but it was too heavy. I'll stick with my Pr series. speakers.

I own a set of these speakers and they are the best speakers I have ever owned. They have awesome bass and the highs are crisp. They are tanks and will take anything that you throw at them. I have played next to DJ's with the more expensive speakers made by other brands and they blow them away everytime.
