Peterson Tuners StroboStomp HD Pedal Tuner offers revolutionary tuning technology for guitarists, bassists and musicians of all kinds. Boasting a high-definition LCD display with variable color LED backlighting, the StroboStomp HD provides an easy-to-read interface with user-selectable colors to suit any ambient lighting situation. The StroboStomp HD offers unparalleled accuracy to 1/1000th of a semitone or 1/1000th of a fret, with a range of 391Hz to 490Hz.

Silent, Pop-Free True Bypass Operation

For the tone-conscious musician, the StroboStomp HD features a 100 percent silent true bypass mode that eliminates the annoying "pop" sound when engaging the tuner. A series of timed relays drain incoming signal and effectively shut down the tuner without affecting tone.

Buffered Output Mode for Long Signal Chains

The StroboStomp HD also offers a buffered output mode to boost signal over long cable runs or large pedalboards. The buffered mode preserves tone throughout the instrument's range while engaging the tuner.

Over 100 Sweetened Tunings for Optimized Intonation

With over 100 Sweetened Tunings, the StroboStomp HD helps correct inherent tuning issues in many instruments. Sweetened Tunings are Peterson's proprietary presets optimized for specific instruments to increase playability over a wider range. The StroboStomp HD also features numbered guided tunings for popular open and alternate tunings.

A Tuner for Every Instrument

Whether you play guitar, bass, steel guitar or another instrument, the StroboStomp HD has you covered. It supports 6, 7, 8 and 9-string guitars, 4, 5 and 6-string basses and 8, 10 and 12-string steel guitars. The StroboStomp HD's range of 391 to 490Hz includes concert A pitch settings for any instrument.

The end of the end

I previously owned a handheld Korg Tuner. One of the Tuners that does have input and output for electric guitar but it's not a pedal. I used that for years. I've had the Peterson Strobostomp HD for about two weeks now. The difference is staggering. The Korg outshines this by a mile!....JK JK JK lol. It's the other way around. I've never used such a great tuner and in pedal form. It's affordable and very easy to use. Setting the Intonation on my guitar was always a problem with the Korg. The Korg would never really get quite right honestly Especially with the low E. Setting the Intonation with the Peterson was a breeze and very accurate! The biggest plus is that it's a pedal and is right there always ready to tune along with my other pedals...no more unplugging from the pedals to the tuner to tune and then back again! The HD display is very very bright...you can even change the color of the screen. This thing is incredible and I will NEVER use another tuner again period. I love it! It has way more features than I've ever seen in a pedal and even though I'll likely never use all of them, they are still nice to have.

Product worked great for a couple weeks before the screen malfunctioned, rendering the display illegible.

Works great. I play a lot of outdoor shows in direct/indirect sunlight. This pedal delivers an accurate information and is easy to see in direct sunlight. Check the manual, this thing has tons of options and tunings. Will keep this forever.

  • As accurate as it gets.

Peterson and Conn tuners have long been the industry standard . I have not found a more accurate tuner to SUPER TUNE ( set your bridge intonation ) .

  • Best strobe guitar tuner since the Conn in 60's.

This is a very precise Strobe Tuner. This Peterson "STROBOSTOMP" is easy to see onstage regardless of light's and is never affected by other instruments coming through while tuning. I use this to strobe my instruments and others I work on. I believe it's equal to my 60's Conn accuracy.

  • Pretty much the best tuner I've owned

I very happy with the tuner so far. I have never been a pedal guy but recent got a "pedal" so added this tuner and it is great! Only thing is now I need a pedal board. Haha!

It can be an aid. Can you set the tuner to "D" and tune to it? No. A tuner will not tell you what note to play, it will tell you what note you are playing.
