Description
The Gatekeeper 2 Micro Noisegate effects pedal from Pigtronix is a lightning fast, studio-quality noise gate that locks out unwanted noise from any rig. Featuring Threshold and Release knobs, Gatekeeper provides 100% attenuation with unprecedented response time and utilizes ultrahigh-speed J-FET circuitry to completely eliminate hum, hiss, buzz and any other intrusive non-musical sounds from your signal path. Its wide range Threshold control combines with exceptional headroom to deliver smooth transient response previously available only in rackmount, studio-oriented noise gate processors. The addition of the Release knob allows the user to control how long it takes gate to slam closed.
The Gatekeeper 2 Micro Noisegate runs on standard 9VDC.

I have owned this pedal for quite a while. Sad to say, this pedal doesn't do what it designed to do. Tried with multiple amps, on its own and with other pedals in the signal chain, and in every situation I can think of, and it creates so much extra noise that is is basically unusable
