collapse expand iconDescription

The PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT is a compact and capable subwoofer for improving low-end extension in home or small project studios. At 100W, with an 8" woofer and frequency response of 30Hz–200Hz, the Eris 8BT packs plenty of "oomph" in a conveniently streamlined form that can settle underneath your desk without being invasive. Regardless of size, the Eris 8BT subwoofer lends you a much better sense of what’s going on in the bass and sub-bass regions of your mix, allowing you to craft punchier, more powerful low end. The PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT has plenty of bone-rattling intensity, but it’s also designed to complement existing monitors without overshadowing them.

Put a Little Boom in Your Room

The PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT is ideal for electronic producers who make frequent use of 808s, full-bodied synth bass and hard-hitting kicks, in addition to the engineers who often mix them. The average studio reference monitor, in the 5"–7" range, rarely has the low-end extension required to hear the entire sonic picture of a mix’s lowest elements. Adding the Eris Sub 8BT to your monitoring arrangement offers ample bass down to 30Hz, helping EDM, hip-hop, pop, R&B and other modern producers and engineers mold their low end to perfection. Plus, the 100W PreSonus Eris subwoofer pushes up to 100dB SPL, so you can put a little boom in your room for production, mixing and sound design.

Detach With Bluetooth

Bluetooth connectivity is a defining feature of the Essential Eris series, cutting cables in favor of quick and convenient playback from a laptop, desktop or mobile device. The Sub 8BT supports wireless syncing, and even if your primary monitors aren't Bluetooth-enabled, the subwoofer's outputs carry the full input signal through your 2.1 setup. Check mixes from your phone, or enjoy listening to music and media through your studio monitors without having to hardwire any devices—the PreSonus Eris Sub8BT makes it possible.

PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT Connectivity

Control Your Crossover

The Eris Sub 8BT takes over at the frequency where your main monitors stop, for a seamless transition between stereo speakers and subwoofer. Dedicated high- and low-pass filters let you determine the crossover point, avoiding the potentially smudged and muddy low-end response that can occur without a crossover. The continuously variable low-pass filter runs between 50Hz–130Hz, and the switchable high-pass filter optionally prevents frequency content at 80Hz and below from hitting your studio monitors. Intuitive crossover customization means the PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT organically integrates into your existing system, so everything can sound its best.

Shape the Foundation of Your Mix

Low end is the structural foundation of any mix, as well as the driving force behind numerous electronic-based genres, and the Eris 8BT subwoofer is a tool to build and define a production’s sonic footing. Without being able to assess frequencies below your main monitors’ cutoff, it’s hard to determine how mixes will translate to various playback systems. Your favorite kick sample may have been living a secret life below 40Hz that the PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT suddenly reveals. A subwoofer is an essential piece of the monitoring puzzle for bass-heavy music, post-production and sound design, to ensure that the lowest of the low end is adequately represented and shaped to taste. Not only is proper low-end reproduction crucial for mixing commanding bass, it's also a key piece in removing mud and sculpting mixes for clarity and precision.

From the moment you install the PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT in your studio, you’ll immediately be blown away by chest-thumping lows. Mixing with pinpoint accuracy requires complete vision of the sonic spectrum, down to the details that are felt more than heard. The Eris Sub 8BT is an exceptional compact subwoofer for expanding your studio’s monitoring capabilities, and it does this without overpowering the room altogether. Between flexible wired and wireless connections, loud 100-watt sound and deep low-end representation, the PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT is a top-tier expansion for 2.1 studio audio.

Before this purchase my vinyl records sounded great - just rather flat (which is sometimes ok). Newer remasters vinyl sounds great but older - used vinyl suffers from lack of bottom end. This Eric Sub DID THE TRICK. All my vinyl has been brought back to life. Thank Persons - great price too!!!

Overall good. My only complaint is if you don't keep the input loud enough it shuts off and I have to turn up the volume of what I am listening to to get it back on. Weird. Makes for a challenge when I just want soft background music while I am working on other things.
