PreSonus: The New FaderPort

PreSonus

collapse expand iconDescription

The PreSonus FaderPort USB production controller puts precise, hands-on control of your digital audio workstation (DAW) at your fingertips. This innovative desktop controller offers motorized touch-sensitive faders, programmable buttons and encoder knobs to streamline mixing, automation, and more. Powered via USB, it works with Mac, Windows and iPad for portable production wherever inspiration strikes.

Single Touch-Sensitive Motorized Faders

The heart of the FaderPort is its 100 mm touch-sensitive motorized fader, which provide smooth, precise level control and visual feedback. Fader touch sensitivity allows you to make fine adjustments by lightly tapping or dragging your finger along the fader cap. Motorization displays the position of virtual faders on your DAW, keeping the FaderPort synchronized as you mix.

Encoder Knobs for Panning, Plug-in Control and More

With 360-degree rotation, the FaderPort's touch-sensitive encoder knobs are ideal for adjusting panning, plug-in parameters, sends and other rotary controls in your DAW. Touch sensitivity gives you the ability to make fine adjustments with a light touch or broad changes by grabbing and turning the knob. Four knobs provide control over multiple parameters at once.

Compact, Portable Production

Powered via USB in a compact size, the FaderPort is designed to fit into any studio workspace. It works with Mac, Windows and iPad, so you can produce anywhere.

At first I thought it did not work with Cubase like many others thought, but if you read the manual, it's easy to get it working.

Never got to use this unit... I had technical issues installing it. Should've been an easy one call fix, but PreSonus support sucks. I returned the FaderPort & am getting a comparable Behringer unit also from Guitar Center. Hopefully I'll have a better experience with it. BTW... Guitar Center customer care/service is really good... Helpful & friendly

I purchased this device for portable use with my MacBook Pro running ProTools. The size is just right and it functions the way you would expect it to. I have a bigger DAW controller in my studio that has 8 faders, I've found that most of the time I use one Fader at a time.

  • Great for automation

As a studio one user the faderport helps me control the DAW and draw in automation lanes by listening instead of using a mouse.
