How To Set Up Your Quantum ES or HD Audio Interface | PreSonus

Quantum HD Demo Featuring Riarosa | Presonus

Description
The PreSonus Quantum HD 8 is a professional-grade 26x30 audio interface engineered to deliver stunning fidelity and versatility for your project studio. Leveraging 30 years of PreSonus innovation, the Quantum HD 8 combines premium components with smart workflow features to provide the performance and flexibility serious musicians need to capture pristine recordings every time.

Eight Transparent MAX-HD Mic Preamps
At the core of the Quantum HD 8 are eight newly redesigned MAX-HD mic preamps that represent the culmination of PreSonus' three decades of preamp design expertise. With a massive 75dB of gain range, these transparent, low-noise preamps effortlessly handle today's hottest studio mics. An Auto Gain feature dials in optimal recording levels at the touch of a button. From delicate vocals to thundering drums, the MAX-HD preamps preserve every nuance with stunning clarity.

Instrument Inputs Crafted for Guitarists
Plug straight into the Quantum HD 8's front-facing 1/4" inputs, codesigned in collaboration with the tone masters at Fender. These inputs were meticulously engineered to transparently capture the unique character of your guitar or bass rig. Crank up your amp to get every ounce of warmth and grit, or go direct for a pristine D.I. signal to re-amp later. With the Quantum HD 8, you're getting world-class input circuitry tailored for your needs as a guitarist.

Ultralow Latency Recording Without Compromise
Thanks to PreSonus' custom low-latency drivers, the Quantum HD 8 delivers exceptional recording performance with ultralow latency. You'll experience the smoothest, most natural tracking experience, free from distracting delays. And with 32-bit/192kHz converters boasting 124dB of dynamic range, every transient and nuance in your performance is captured with exquisite detail and transparency. The illuminated encoder and responsive metering provide precise level control and feedback.

Re-amp Outputs for Tone Experimentation
Two re-amp outputs give you a powerful tone-sculpting tool. Send tracks from your DAW back out to the Quantum HD 8, then run them through guitar amps, pedals, speaker cabinets or other outboard gear. Capture new layers of dirt, grit and vibe by re-amping and layering over your original tracks. It's the perfect way to breathe new life into stale recordings or explore fresh tones without re-tracking everything from scratch.

Powerful Software for Creative Freedom
To fuel your creativity from day one, the Quantum HD 8 includes a one-year subscription to PreSonus' acclaimed Studio One+ recording software and its associated plug-ins, sound packs, tutorials, updates and a robust user community. This DAW provides unlimited track counts, advanced editing tools, third-party plug-in support, and a wealth of virtual instruments and loops. The Studio One+ Professional edition gives you all the production power you need to craft impressive recordings. A Universal Control app also lets you adjust settings and monitor levels remotely from your desktop, tablet or smartphone. And now, when you register your Quantum HD 8 online, you'll get a perpetual license for Studio One Pro 7.
With its premium components and forward-thinking design, the PreSonus Quantum HD 8 audio interface equips your studio with the pristine sound and versatile workflow you need to create professional-quality recordings. Capture every performance with stunning realism—the Quantum HD8 is the key to unlocking your creative potential.

I purchased at guitar center , love you peeps! But not this D8. The new windows computer gave me so many problems with the Universal Control software which comes with the D8 to operate. I decided to get a new IMac. Just like the windows computer im going to run DAW only. After downloading the Presonus DAW and universal control I tested with some tracks basic drums worked like normal. It was late I closed my computer along with the rest of the studio like normal. Got back the next day and turned on the studio like normal. I couldn't belive it, the Universal Control Software says " No devises found"! After spending more wasted time trying to understand what's going on this time with the universal control software. Thw only way i can get this to work properly is to DOWNLOAD THE UNIVERSAL SOFTWARE EVERY TIME I USE STUDIO ONE . Otherwise it can't be detected. Ha ha ha! I can guarantee you I'm gonna find more problems along the way. There's this voice saying ,"if you want professional work done you have to buy professional equipment"! Tried this on a windows based computer and a Mac computer. Both computers were ordered with specs beyond the minimum requirements. Ive wasted weeks. If you do your homework you know the brand that has zero issues with the products and software, that's where I'm headed next and should have went there from the start. A positive- The quantum d8 looks really cool in the rack.
Universal Control - Can't control

Got this 2 weeks ago. Since then I've been trying to understand why outboard effects won't run correctly. The DAW downloaded no problems , so did the Presonus Hub download. I realized tonight the universal control doesn't work as it's intended. I have to bypass it and Studio One takes control and makes it work but it's missing all the great functions like the YouTubers talk about. I have a new window's computer only using for Studio One. I'm going to return the HD8 soon if Presonus can't fix the download. Universal control looks cool along with the D8 but that's not enough to make proper recordings. What also aggravates me is my speakers are getting beat up by all the cracks and pops cause again I can't get all the software downloaded. Almost forgot. The secondary screen in Universal control is missing some icons , judging from what I see on the YouTubers channels.
