I replaced an older generation Focusrite with this unit as most of my setup is primarily the Presonus Eco-sphere. It has the flexibility and inputs/outputs I need for my growing studio, and to top it off, it brings in the Presonus feel into the workflow which I am very used to from their mixers and faderport series. Having everything operate under universal control is also a huge plus. It has two headphone outputs, but if it had two more, this would be king as a means of running a small band's personal headphones from a single unit. Otherwise, best investment I have made to date.

I bought the unit in late 2020 and have had it replaced twice. Today after upgrading my Mac OS, the unit could not connect to my computer. When I went to download the latest drivers I found there was no support for Ventura. Previous to this latest issue the unit had hum/noise. So this new unit was replaced maybe a year ago. I do a lot of home recording and this is a recurring inconvenience.

Loved the strong build of the interface and all the inputs and outputs but was disappointed with some of its capabilities. No options to use fat channel or any other studio one plug ins in universal control if you are looking for that option go with the quantum. I ended up returning because a week or so after I got it everytime I would turn it on there would be a loud hissing sound even with the main output turned all the way down. love presonus and studio one but this just did not work for me.

  • Worked great until it just died one day.

This interface worked great. It never crashed or anything. Then one day, it just died with no warning. I got the "red light of death" which a lot of users seem to get, and Presonus offers no solutions on how to fix it.

  • Quite satisfied with this interface!

I had to replace my old PreSonus FirePod 800 interfaces. So I ordered two of the Studio1824c interfaces. My requirements are that I'm able to cut 16 tracks at once. I was having difficulty aggregating them but I figured it out on my Logic program. Customer support daringly spent time with me to address the issue! I opened preferences-midi settings and created an aggregate. I especially appreciate the LED input volume indicators. This cleans up my work flow considerably! I'm very satisfied!

  • No latency & sounds amazing
