Mic gooseneck
I use this in a home studio where I need a few inches more than the standard Mic gooseneck because I have some pedal boards in front of me. My mic stand, mic and cables are all black so it's good to use the black gooseneck instead of standard chrome finish.

Too long for horizontal use w/ a SM57
I purchased this to go on a threaded mic holder that points horizontally, which is to say perpendicular to the mic stand. This gooseneck is not even strong enough to hold up an SM57. I suppose it would work if screwed onto the top of a regular vertical mic stand, but that's not why I purchased it. Keeping it just because it's not worth the hassle to return.

As a singing drummer, I can say that this product makes it easy to sing and position the mic comfortably. I can still do all my stick tricks!! #sweepstakes

I use a straight mic stand, so with this long gooseneck I can adjust it up and down, left and right w/o loosening and retightening a boom stand. And it stays clear of my guitar because of the bend.
