The Best Guitar Stool
I buy a seat for comfort, not flash. I tried all the stools out there and the best value for comfort and price is the Proline 24" Faux Leather Guitar stool. I've had the Proline stool for over a year and use it everyday for a few hours. Liked it so much, I bought more to use in the Luthier shop and everyone thinks they are great. Had a little problem with wobble, but with use the legs leveled out. I will definitely buy these again, especially when GC runs a sale on them. Tried many other brands like Fender, Gibson, Roadrunner and they were like sitting on Rocks. They may look nice, but I wanted something I could use, not look at.

Good & Bad
I compared with ALL the other guitar stools at GC, and this stool was by far the most comfortable even though it was cheaper than the others. Also it was a good height for me. But after I got home and assembled a brand new (from the box)stool, the stool had a slight rock ... the legs were not all the same height. I did make the stool stop rocking by shimming the soft plastic feet. I am too busy to run back to GC and exchange for another ... and possibly another ... so the bottom line ... nice design, but poor quality control by the manufacturer.

Wobbles badly. Read reviews before buying

Son liked this stool best in store. Bought. It wobbles badly. Took apart and retried several times. Driving 45 minutes back to return it. Junk. Read reviews before you buy it. Everyone has this problem. I'd pay twice what this cost to have it functional.

I use this stool strictly when playing my guitar. It's comfortable and just the right height. Only problem was I had to shim one set of legs but was actually a quick fix. Really like this stool and would buy again.
Uneven to floor

Small Allen wrench supplied made of cheap metal and quickly was dinged and difficult to use. This chair was so uneven after assembled it was actually dangerous to sit on. I spent over 2 hours trying to assemble and then tweak the screws hoping this might fix it. NOT... "junk"... unless you can get the store to put it together for you. Most of their stores use "this" stool all throuout their stores for customers to sit and play. SO.. they must have a way to make the stool sit flush. However, i saw nothing on the included paperwork to help with or address this
Spend a little extra time on assembly and get it right

I bought one of these a year or two ago and use it every time I play guitar in my music room. Just bought another one so my buddy's have a place to sit and play or just for shooting the breeze. Spend a little time tweaking it on assemble and it will sit with all four legs flat in the floor. Throw it together on a hurry and it will rock around. Your choice.

What is the overall width of the legs for stability? Is the ring set high enough to keep my leg height slightly higher at the knee going towards my thigh in order to play my guitar comfortably with no risk for slippage?
It appears to be.submitted7 years ago

Hi, I was wondering if this was a good stool to purchase for the classical guitar position. I'm 5'8 and have one seat at home about this stools' height. So my question is will the foot rest for this stool be high enough for my knee to keep my guitar from slipping?
You should be alright. This will put your leg at being just about level so it should be just about perfect.
