it works

While the switch its self did what it was supposed to, i still had some issues. The throw on this switch is much too light, it dose not come with wiring instructions (not a problem for me but for someone else) and the shaft on the switch housing , y'know the part you put the nut on... is only about a quarter of an inch. DEFINETLY not thick enough to use in LP styled instruments or ones that don't mount on a pickguard. But the swich does work and mine came with a black tip, a nut , normal washer and a washer with teeth. But it might be worth spending a little more money and buying a better switch.

I was surprised that a single repair item like a 3-way toggle switch with tip could make such a huge difference on the overall tone of the guitar.

I busted an OEM switch that came on my guitar and this was a direct swap in part. Switch feels better than the original. Works perfectly and was easy to solder in with the tab connection setup.

The thin flexible contact [ wide ")"] over time, and or if 'rapid switched' begins to stress and crack, making the switch lose contact, especially in the center mix position. Save the risk and spend the extra $8-$12 on a GENUINE SWITCHCRAFT. There is one silver lining though. I once bought a brand new black Guild Bluesbird for $450, 1/3 of list price because it had this same (factory failed?) toggle switch. Somehow it ended up at my local Music-Go-Round brand new in the new nice soft case, clear vinyl still on the pickups and the rear access panels. An excellent guitar by the way look at specs!. And you can find them for around $500, really a sleeper deal! Needless to say, I bought a new Switchcraft toggle.
