Mount pad is too narrow, stand leans over time

The arm is functional, but not worth the price paid. The mount that attaches to the desk has far too small of a footprint to adequately support my Rode NT1-A with its shock mount and pop filter. As you can see in the picture, there is a significant lateral lean at the mount point, despite it being repeatedly tightened to the desk and only receiving a limited amount of use in the past year. Likewise, the top arm frequently droops and has to be regularly re-tightened at the elbow. Still, it's functional, but not something I would expect to hold up with daily use. I have only pulled this mic down and pushed it back up and out of the way maybe 2 dozen times since I purchased it and the stand. I plan on augmenting the mount with hardwood pads to distribute the load a bit more evenly to the desk, but I shouldn't have to do this.
Little bit on the cheap side, but it works.

I bought this to use with the Shure MV7 podcast mic and it fits like a glove and holds the Mic in place securely. That being said the stand itself has kind of a weak construction so if you plan to just gently move it in place and leave it in one place for your session it should be fine. On the other hand if you are doing interviews or tend to grab the mic and and move it around a lot while you talk this is not the one.
I would buy this product again

They neither have the courtesy to at least let you know on the box that it only fits 5/8" mic holders or at supply an adaptor to 3/8". That may seem trivial bc you can buy one, but it's a tremendous imposition when you're counting on a product doing what it's supposed to do when you need it. My equally inconsiderately designed Sennheiser MKH 416 mic doesn't have an adaptor to 5/8". Two cavalier companies. Thank god for the option of fighting back giving by them a bad review. There is an inconsiderate person at Proline who is responsible for this. Things won't start to change until there is individual accountability. Find out who that person is Proline.

Already swapped out for same type of boom arm that would not stay in place. After several uses the screws no longer hold.

I never got any instructions with the Proline Desk Mount Microphone boom. Is there any online instructions I could get? I couldn't find any on YouTube.
Typically the manufacturer will have a pdf of how to put it together.
