A satisfactory spontaneous purchase
A reliably stable stand. I removed the middle-tier, and cut 6" off each of the rear footings. This allowed a snug fit against the wall. The stand is no longer suitable for free-standing use. I have an 88 weighted on the bottom, and a 49 synth above. The adjustments for the tier work best when centered vertically, but have poor alignment when shifted off center. For example, I wanted to the 49 to sit above the right side of the 88. Between the toothed locking mechanism and factory welds, it wasn't possible to get adequate alignment. Wouldn't mind support for a lower keyboard profile, but that might put too much stress on the button adjuster. It's a good & sturdy stand otherwise. Might be a bit heavy for regular travel.

Stable, but sloppy
I just replaced a single X-Braced stand with this one for a MOTIF XF8. The single X was WAY too wobbly, so after reading many reviews, and checking prices, this stand looked like it would work well. Sure enough, it is plenty stable, preventing the single X continuous wobble while playing, GREAT! Now, the XF feels solid while playing - for a 60+ pound keyboard, this really makes the stand worth the price (price was not too high - wait until you get the discount coupon from guitar center or your fave retailer . . . or find one at a low price on Craig's!). Here's the rub . . . Don't expect the three tiers to ever hold additional keys flat. Like a chair with a short leg - additional keys will need some crumpled paper or other means to keep them from jerking during play. Why ProLine didn't use an aligning jig when welding this together is beyond my understanding. I'm guessing that these are hand made somewhere (China? I didn't research this!) for bottom dollar. The teeth are NOT aligned well, and by the time you set up the third tier - forget it! Find some way to shim the keys on the additional tiers. At the $110 price point, does any manufacturer use an aligning fixture??? If you are a welder by trade, here is your million dollar opportunity! Just remember where you heard it! :D

This stand gives me great access to all 3 of my keyboards and is very stable. It is a perfect size for my home studio setup and I use it with my high stool to accommodate the height of each keyboard I'm playing. It feels very sturdy, light weight and was very easy to setup. I would recommend it to anyone out there using multiple keyboards.
I would buy this again

Junk that does not align...don't waste your time or money

No combination of settings can level the second and third tiers. I wasted almost an hour trying to get them to sit level. This is a very bad design, and I absolutely would not trust one of these with keyboards or synthesizers that have any value whatsoever. I will be returning this to the store tomorrow. Waste of time and money.
Works well with some finicky fiddling

Great stand for storing and playing almost any synth; however the flexible arms are difficult to get lined up properly and the top tier is suitable only for lighter gear (it collapsed under a moog sub phatty which lead to some consternation onstage by yours truly). With those guidelines in mind, along with the aforementioned difficulties of transport, it works quite well for the price. Overall, nice work again by guitar center!
