collapse expand iconDescription

The Proline PL700Z folding Z keyboard stand has sleek looks and the strength to support up to 375 lb. It will accommodate electronic keyboards from 55 to 88 keys, or DJ equipment and music mixers. The Z shape means you can play from the front or the back of the stand. Rectangular 1" x 2" structural tubes make it heavy duty. 3/4" center tubes allow you to adjust the width from 21" to 36". It's height adjusts from 24" to 36" so you can use your Proline keyboard stand while sitting or standing. It collapses and locks for convenient transport or storage.

Super Strong stand

I bought this stand to support a large speaker cabinet for live shows. It works great and is very strong. I would have no reservations about putting most anything on this stand. The Z design is not for everyone but I prefer it. I've used it for all kind of things including keyboards, tables (with a piece of wood on top) a saw horse, etc. I keep finding more and more uses for it. The only thing I can say that is not positive is that it does not stay in the folded position very well. Legs tend to fall down when you carry it. A bag would be a good idea to keep it bundled up or just some bungie cord wrapped around it for storage. Also I added some Home Depot rubber weather striping to the top support bars to cushion, hold and protect my keyboards from getting scratched. I also bought the optional arms to add a second keyboard. I supported 2 keyboards fine. The price is right in fact I'm buying another one.

Almost Good Except for Serious Design Flaw!

This review is of both the main stand and the second tier attached. I didn't find stability/balance to be an issue like some other reviewers. It will be prone to tip without weight of lower keyboard so obviously don't use the second tier without having a keyboard of some substantial weight on the lower tier. I actually thought it was a neat design. I liked the flexibility of the width adjustment. I thought it went together easily. The biggest problem is in one or two design flaws and it is a deal breaker. I would not recommend this stand to anyone. The knobs that hold the stand together are going to break. They are a huge weak link in the design. Maybe if you are just going to put it together one time and didn't already receive a stand with broken knobs you may be fine. The main keyboard stand did not appear to have been opened yet but one of the knobs was already shattered. The second tier box was totally shredded at the top and open so I'm guessing someone returned the unit already broken. On that unit one knob was broke off and the one for width adjustment was stripped. Someone could have seriously abused the unit and then returned it. But after seeing how these knobs are made I'm not surprised that someone broke them. Another thing that was confusing was there appears to be holes in the height adjustment piece on the main stand. However, the knobs do not fit these holes so to me it only seems like these holes would weaken the stand. OnStage sells a very similar unit with similar price. Perhaps that one is designed better. The onstage has the advantage of second tier hight adjustment and also I think being able to adjust the second tier front lip height. It really a shame that a potentially nice stand was ruined by the company not spending a little more time making the key component that will hold the keyboard together better quality.

Very sturdy with solid 4 point base. How it unfolds makes it stronger, even on carpet. For a little bit more than tube stand you get 100 percent stable platform that totally adjustable and folding for transportation

I chose this over the double XX because I was tired of hitting my knee! Unfortunately, this one has knobs on the cross bars that hit my shins & it really hurts! I am 5' 8" & sit pretty far back from the stand!

My wife wanted her digital piano set up but we needed a narrow stand to fit the spot we chose. This stand is just a couple inches wider than her piano, so it leaves room for cable and pedal connections. I do recommend using Velcro or some sort of hook and loop solution to further assist with stability. But I'm happy with it overall.

The stand quite easy to set up and take down when not in use. It nice and stable on my carpeted floor and it hasn't move at all when in use.

Arrived without instructions and there are none on the Proline site. It's a little fiddly to put together, but very few pieces and once together it's quite stable. Z design is not as convenient as an X-brace to break down for transport. Used with a Dexibell P7, 88 keys and heavy, no problem. Top is level, not slanted, but some form of end bracket could feel more secure even if not technically necessary - would also protect against the instrument being bumped off the stand in a stage environment. This would add another level of complication and possibly price as the shelf would then have to be adjustable. If you get the second tier, that has end brackets since it is slanted. While any 'cons' might suggest less than 5 stars, for the price and stability this is unbeatable and thus warrants 5.
