    Haven't had the time to really dig in on this, but on looking through the book, this starts at the beginning and works through with easy to learn lessons and studies. I've had lessons a LONG time ago and this is a good starter.

    I have always wanted to play the guitar. Last week I headed over to Guitar Center bought an Acoustic guitar and picked up this book. I have learned 6 notes in the last week. This book breaks it all down in a way that is definitely fun & easy to work on. Very easy to self-teach. I plan on taking some professional lessons in the future, because I am teaching myself, but feel that lessons might provide me with some hands on tricks of the trade.

    I currently use this book. Years I ago I took a guitar class at a community college. We started on chords. That confused and frustrated me. I pretty quickly gave up and quit playing. This book starts the student on learning the individual notes. I like that SO much more. Chords are addressed, just not until later in the book. In a nutshell, I enjoy using this book. It makes playing and learning fun rather than frustrating for me.

    Not ever playing the guitar ever in my life, I was able to play all the notes and three major cords and miner cords plus the three power cords in just a month. Even know that this is a great book practice is everything, I was practicing at least 1 to 2 hours a day after school to reach the level that I did with in a month. With a good price you can't loose...
