Well built, doesn't fit all guitars

Stand is very sturdy, well built, and packs down in a clever way to a small size. Includes a decent but somewhat flimsy carry bag, the bag has no handles other than the draw string. Fits 6 string guitars and 4 string basses well, and with all of the guitars/basses I tried there is a felt-texture material covering all surfaces that come into contact with the instrument. The stand sits very stably with non-offset standard instruments, but offsets and extended range guitars and basses with wide necks don't sit in an orientation that I would be comfortable leaving unsupervised for long. Because the lower supports are fixed (unlike many stands that have a side to side pivot), offsets like the pictured J bass have to be placed at an angle. The other constraint is that the U fixture for the neck is quite narrow, so 8 string guitars and 5 string basses may not sit fully in the channel. They do wedge in pretty well (the U is rubber coated) so they won't fall over, but the instrument is very vertical because the body below will slide all the way back on the bottom rests due to the felt material being pretty slick. Overall pretty happy with the stand, but will only use it for standard size non-offsets.
