Promark

collapse expand iconDescription

The SD330 drum stick was designed by Todd Sucherman of Styx. These sticks are similar to a 5B, but with a lighter weight maple construction and a modified acorn tip. The acorn tip provides a darker tone and a longer, thin taper is designed for a more responsive rebound. This stick is great if you like a large diameter, but lightweight.

All Promark drum sticks are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at their Texas facility to some of the most stringent quality controls in the industry.

I've been using two stick models for recording drums, Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature and these ProMark Todd Sucherman sticks. Todd's sticks are great for traditional grip players that like a thicker stick but is lightweight. I use Todd's sticks when I really want to hit hard and rock out. The lightweight does lead to stick breakage if wailing on rimshots frequently but I still love using them. I do wish they came in a nylon tipped model as I like the "bite" of a nylon tipped stick on a ride cymbal.

None of the stores near you have them in stock but you can place an order for them and have them shipped to the store for pickup.
