Great Stand for a Great Price!

I needed a solid keyboard stand (i'm using a heavy 88-note weighted keyboard) with 4 legs, that would allow me to place the keyboard in front of my computer desk AND allow me to work with my chair, legs and feet comfortably under the desk (an X-stand wouldn't allow for that) while working on projects. This fit the bill perfectly.

It IS sturdy if you don't have to move it or collapse it for transport. But, avoid this if you want something portable. The legs are hard to adjust, height-wise -- very sticky. The screws holding the legs in place (you give them several turns if you want the legs to fold up) are not completely secure. It's fine if the stand is just in one place, with legs extended. But if you're unscrewing the legs just enough to fold them down, they do not "hold" in place in the folded position. The weight of the legs pulls on the screws no matter how tight you think you've got them. So, as you're transporting the stand from place to place you risk having the legs fly out and hit you in the shins, or pinch you as they slide around. I've had to wrap duct tape and bungee cords around my stand to keep it from flying apart during transport.

I have a table top surface I use on this and this works great for my laptop, interface, and keyboard. The stand seems very sturdy as has tons of range for height and width adjustment. I use mine over top of my 36" pedalboard and I couldn't be happier.

Bought the stand on line. 25% off sale. When it arrived it was obvious the package had been resealed. Upon assembling it we discovered 2 bent knobs. One so serverly that it would not screw into the leg. Hoping the Guitar Center store will replace it.
I have two!

Love this stand for my Korg SV88. I use the WS 422 to hold a Nord C1 organ. I have of the same set-ups; one in my rehearsal space and one packed for gigs.

What keeps the keyboard from moving around since it isn't attached to the stand? I'm comparing this to the Korg ST-SV1 for my Korg D1.
The weight of he keyboard itself will keep it stable
