Comfortable seat. Not a great fit for a PDP base.
I bought this as an upgrade for my PDP throne. The fabric top is nice for keeping temperature reasonable, and the seat is comfortable for a while. I might have preferred the Orange County Drum & Percussion seat for the type of extended sitting I do in the studio, but I saved a bunch of money buying this top on it's own and it works OK. Unfortunately, it's not a perfect fit for the PDP base and wobbles a lot. Good enough not to return it, but I'm still hoping to find some kind of shim that would get rid of the wobble.

I returned the "retrofit" ROC-N-SOC seat since it wasn't even close to fitting on my original tripod. Furthermore they use some homemade looking steel adapter not the original cast aluminum with gussets, & it's a (4) bolt pattern instead of the (3) bolt pattern on the original throne. I would have just swapped brackets if it was same pattern. useless.

Works for Nitro Throne Replacement

I was hesitant to buy this for my Nitro throne, but it totally worked. I just had to fully remove the 4 bolts underneath and keep the Nitro throne hardware with the height adjustment lever. It was a great fit for the 4 bolt pattern. Now I have a nifty flat plate mount plate left over that I could use for an e-drum module or headphone amp.
Really comfortable seat!,.

I have a thick plush Pork Pie throne- which is great- but sometimes, want to have the bike seat style- and Roc-N-Soc is always so comfy. My only gripe- is that these Retro fits don't have the docking hardware for adding a backrest-,. This fit perfectly on my Pork Pie stool,. so I can switch nice n easy,.

Love this new seat, fit my Pork Pie base just fine. Replaced the Fat Boy seat....guess I wasn't big enough to do that extra padded seat justice. I felt like all that padding tipped me forward. Not so with this seat; it's firm yet comfortable and I have better balance on it. Recommended, and worth it.
I would absolutely by this product again.

Nice Direct Replacement For DW Seat

Fit my DW stand (7/8") like it was made for it. I've used it for a couple of months now. Super comfortable and supportive. The style makes playing much easier on the thighs than the traditional round seat. Only negative is the locking assembly comes loose over time. I reversed the mounting on the bottom of the seat so the lock nuts face backward and it appears to have eased the problem. Needs a better way to "set" the position of the locking assembly.
