Great bottom heads

These are thicker than the standard ambassador but make no mistake, not close to a 2ply emperor. Put on my 65 Ludwig kit and they sound great. I ordered two packs. For the price, they are thin enough for bottom heads which as we all know, seem to get neglected. Save the cash and get these instead of standard ambassador's.. A great snare head as well.........Good Luck
Best of Both Worlds

These are too good to be true. Nice rich/tonal sound, easy to tune, and a nice middle of the road between single ply and double ply heads. I've tried Evans G1 and G2, Remo ambassadors (which are very nice too) and emperors. I have them on 10, 12, 14, 16 toms on my gretsch renown. amazing sound and good definition/attack tuned to 80 on the drum dial. I do want to try the Remo Vintage As sometime, but for now the Ambassador Xs are here to stay.
Best Drum Head Made

I have a set of Gretsch Maple drums and recently changed from a clear head to these Ambassador X's. These are without a doubt the best heads you will find with a wide tonal range. I play progressive rock and the deep thud is there as well and the higer sweet spots. I have tried them all and was initially worried these may be too thick but they were fine. If your struggling to find a better sound on your toms especially floor toms, look no further......
