So far so good.. they have a little tighter tonality over Evans g2 and more furious attack than aquarian or remo coated emperor's.. great for metal, rock to jazz... Imma 5 star them I have no problems with them at all...
Worth the money

I bought these heads with a little skepticism but I was truly amazed at the difference in sound. I has purchased the Pearl Fusion and still had the factory heads and what a change. The price is good the look is sleek. I definitely look forward to buying more Remo prducts.

After getting the Black Suede heads and playing them for awhile I was disappointed with them. They are really durable for heavy playing and have a great bite/pop attack sound to them at high volumes. However, they don't sound really good to me at mid to low volumes. At these levels they sound almost papery and really dry, no warmth. They also seem to have a very specific sweet spot on them which is dead in the middle. Anywhere else on the head sounds fair and dry. They look good for a bit before you really break them in and then the black coating comes off onto your sticks and my white coated snare head. I got an Emperor Ebony Head on my snare recently and Like it a lot better the sound is better from edge to edge and has good overtones and depth. No black sticks yet. 5 Stars for the Emperor Ebony so far.

Awesome. Great dark deep tone for just about any genre if tuned right. But, you have to get the head for the snare as well, to fit the sound. These are REALLY durable. I have BEATEN these drums, and absolutely no dents, holes or tears. Seriously, great heads, and they hold a tune as well!
Love it

It took a while to tune them right where I wanted them, but once I got them tuned right, the sound was amazing. Before these I used pinstripes and had dampener rings on. With these, I don't even need the rings. I play rock music and I will be playing with these heads for a long time.
AMAZING!! must-buy!

First of all, these heads make any kit look sexy. The sound they project has a full, rich tone. great for deep tones. these work best for heavy genres of music, such as metal and rock. But.. they also work great for softer styles if you complete the head set up with a snare side head and a black suede head for the snare. I did this immediately first off because my set looked pretty messed up with three black heads and a white head. anyways, you need to get these heads. they are awesome.
