Very pleased with the sound I got with these rings and my 1965 Slingerland toms.

RemO Tone Control Rings are just what is needed to adjust tone on your drum heads. I know by reading other reviews that some drummers use them to control ring, but I don't use them for ring. Tuning should control ringing, unless the drum or head are not able to be tuned right. I have two ten inch toms in my drum configuration, so I put one on the rototom to tone it down a bit rather than tuning the head to a different pitch. I have used all sizes of these rings for years and found them to be more helpful than tape or moongel.
