Wiring Steps 1. Determine your setup: 70V/100V distributed system? Use the transformer taps. Low-impedance amp (like most PA amps)? Use the 8Ω tap. 2. Access the back terminal block: The EVID 4.2T has a Euroblock (Phoenix-style) connector on the back. You’ll see: COM (common/ground) 8Ω 70V taps (e.g., 30W, 15W, 7.5W) 100V taps (e.g., 30W, 15W). For 8Ω Operation (e.g., to a standard power amp or mixer amp): Connect amp’s speaker + to 8Ω terminal. Connect amp’s speaker – to COM terminal. Repeat for each speaker (but remember, if wiring multiple speakers to one amp channel in 8Ω mode, you'll need to account for total impedance). For 70V/100V Operation: Choose a wattage tap (e.g., 15W) that fits your system’s power and volume needs. Connect amp’s speaker + to the desired 70V/100V tap. Connect amp’s speaker – to COM terminal. You can daisy-chain multiple speakers this way. If you're using a regular live sound amp (like QSC, Crown, or powered mixers), you're probably in 8Ω mode. Use the 8Ω and COM terminals. If you're using a 70V commercial amp (like a TOA, Crown CDi, etc.), then choose the correct transformer tap.
