Sized at 7-3/4" x 2" and made of selected maple hardwood with a high gloss mahagony finish, this block can produce a sharp, deep tone when struck with the mallet or it can make a g¼iro effect by scratching the bearded barrel with the mallet handle.

    I use them for preschool music classes. I am a little disappointed in the sound, but they will still work ok. They are the cheapest I could find online, so I guess you get what you pay for.
