Rhythm Band RB1208 Plastic Maracas

These maracas are very durable, so much so that they are almost indestructable. Yet, they are no-toxic and safe for children. Also, despite the fact that they are inexpensive, these maracas provide an authentic Latin-American sound to be enjoyed by all.

    I ordered blue but the brown is fine! Theyre Large, Durable, easy-to-use for elderly in nursing facilities! Love these!

    I just bought these for my 2 year old daughter. Fine product for the price (for stage use, you could maybe spend a bit more). A great addition to her growing collection of "play" instruments. You gotta get 'em interested early. As another reviewer mentioned - these would also be good as an audience participation item. Cheap enough where if they broke (although - I doubt if they will under most conditions) or "walked off" - it would be no big deal.

    OK, so they are really ugly. And the tone isn't like my aged wooden Mexican maracas. They add that shaker sound you need in many music genres and are two separate instruments that I like to hand out to wanna-be percussionists in the audience - no fear. They are cheap and will probably last several centuries under the worst of wear. Whaddaya want?
