Rickenbacker

collapse expand iconDescription

A natural spin on a classic, the W Series brings the same full, rich and warm sound that have made 330's popular since the 1960s. The iconic design is now strengthened with the natural character of walnut and polished with an oil finish. Two single-coil pickups on a full size body are accented by a traditionally shaped sound hole. The 24-fret maple fingerboard is punctuated by dot inlay fret markers, with full double cutaways permitting access to all the frets. A blend control adds a bit of magic for dialing in just the right amount of neck pickup signal to the mix. Standard output is monaural through a single jack plate. Also available with twelve strings (our SKU#J06713). Includes case.

If you are a Strat or Tele Player for years, you need time to adjust because this is a different animal. Once you're accustomed, you will never go back. As we all know, guitars are different. If you bend a lot, this walnut version is perfect for you. Plus, it is made to order not mass produced like fenders & gibsons.

I am by no means an excellent guitarists but I've been playing for a few years. I own a Tele, Jazzmaster and Les Paul. This Ric is far and away my favorite guitar to play. The set-up was perfect out of the box, pick ups sound great and are very responsive, it's light weight and super comfortable to play. I was worried about the neck as that is the complaint most people have about Ric's but it just feels amazing to me. The Walnut body is as beautiful as you can hope for and the neck finish is not lacquered at all, I guess it has a more satin finish and is really fast to play, actually there's no lacquer anywhere on the instrument which is a big bonus for me. To sum it up quickly, I am incredibly pleased with my first Rickenbacker!
