Excellent case, great deal

I built a round body arched top guitar from a dream I had. Never thought about a future case- oops! This gig bag did the job. Not ideal, BUT sufficient padding and overall quality of construction rocks! I plan to build an open back banjo from the mold. Another bag is on the project list.

would be great if stored better

I ordered this for in-store pickup and the one I received had collapsed walls, was dirty in places and already has threads coming loose just from sitting in my apartment for less than a week. My guess is that it was being stored under a pile of something and had been crushed to the floor for a time. The zippers are high quality and I doubt they'll give me problems -- will have to see about the stitching over time. It's also a little large for the Recording King banjo that I got it for; there's several inches of wiggle room for the banjo to slide around inside the case, so while I feel comfortable using it to carry from place to place I wouldn't trust it in the trunk of a car or in an overhead compartment on a flight or something. I feel like if I had gotten a "good one" of these it would probably be four stars, but alas.

It's a good banjo bag. Only has 2 pockets but that's plenty for now. Easy to carry and the shoulder straps keeps your hands free.

The case that came with my octave mandolin was thin, then the zippers started failing. So far this one works great!
