collapse expand iconDescription

The Road Runner Boulevard II Backpack cymbal bag is a gigging drummer's best friend. This backpack-style cymbal bag features padded straps and back panel, providing ergonomic support and comfort for walking between venues or public transit. The Boulevard II is rugged yet lightweight, crafted from durable nylon material with reinforced stitching at stress points. Inside, high-density foam padding protects up to five cymbals up to 22" in size within the main compartment.

Padded Cymbal Dividers for Safe Transport

Keep your cymbals securely nestled and protected from dings or cracks thanks to the Boulevard II's padded cymbal dividers. The dividers are fully removable, allowing you to configure the space to your needs. When not in use, the dividers fold flat for compact storage within the roomy front pocket.

Practical Storage for Drumming Essentials

In addition to space for cymbals, the Boulevard II features a front pocket, small accessory pocket and stick holder pocket to keep your drum sticks, drum keys, felts and other items organized and within easy reach. The front pocket is large enough for sheet music, set lists or other gear, while the accessory pocket is ideal for earplugs, drum wax and small tools.

Comfortable, Adjustable Backpack Straps

The Boulevard II's padded backpack straps make it easy to transport your cymbals through any situation. Adjust the straps to find your perfect fit for maximum comfort during long load-in or loadout hauls. The straps also feature clip-on padding to prevent the cymbal edges from digging into your back. When not in use, the backpack straps tuck neatly into the back panel pocket.

Additional Features

Other useful details include an ID tag holder, reinforced grab handle and rubber feet to prevent sliding. Measuring 22" x 22" x 8", the Boulevard II Backpack cymbal bag has all the features any gigging drummer needs to transport cymbals safely and in style.

Cymbal Sanctuary

I have a 5-piece Gretsch Renown drum kit. I have 14" hi-hats, 17" and 18" crash cymbals and 20" and 21" rides Like many of the readers of this review I have spent a lot of money on cymbals and would like to protect my investment when I store or transport them. Previously to this purchase I wrapped my cymbals in bath towels. However, my wife was getting suspicious : "Honey .. . have you seen the bath towels my parents gave us as a wedding present?" At first glance at this Boulevard II Backpack Cymbal Bag seems well made and suitably padded. Inside the main compartment are 5-divided slots for cymbals up to 22". On the face of the cymbal bag is a separate circular zippered compartment that holds 14" high hats, or maybe a cherry pie. On the back of the bag is ANOTHER zippered compartment. Terribly mysterious. Opening it reveals SECRET backpack straps !!! DUDE ! You can now backpack your cymbals up Mt. Everest !! Incredibly, in addition to the backpack straps, the compartment has 3-pockets for sticks, brushes or cat treats. How convenient ! Finally, it must be mentioned that this bag is reinforced on the bottom edge. THIS is GREAT engineering - NO drummer stores his cymbal bag on its back. They lean it against a wall, or the bass player's amp. You can pay LOTS more for a hardened cymbal vault. With a little care this Road Runner will do the job.

Keep looking unless you want to pay for sewing repairs

I bought this at GC in Grand Rapids,Mi. Used it only five times before the handle ripped out of its place. So far the other features seem okay.Well padded and good dividers. Other handle wasn't far behind in ripping out.Instead of returning to the store I chose to have my local shoe repair store fix it and reinforce all four handle points with kevlar thread.Should last now and hopefully handles won't rip out again. Granted I usually load it up with at least four cymbals and hats, but I would think a cymbal bag should be built for that.

I bought one 6 months ago and the handle ripped out immediately. I returned it thinking it was a dud, but the handles ripped out of the new one too. Too late to return it, I sewed the handles back in myself. It's a bag that I wanted to like with good features and bad quality.

  • Perfect Cymbal backpack for the price

This is perfect to lug around a set of 5 or 6 cymbals. Durable, classy looking yet rugged. The extra pocket for things like drum keys and other incidentals are a great add

2 cymbals, 1 high hats and about 5 gigs is all it took for the handle to rip off. The sticks in the back is pretty lame too. But I started trying to pick it up from the top, and now the whole thing is falling apart. My previous guitar center branded case last more than 10 years.

Super product, excellent quality. I bought this as the daily special, but didn't expect such a superior product. The price was too good to believe. Shipping was fast as usual. You can't beat guitar center. I even find great deals on their open box or used merchandise all the time and they even offer coupons sometimes.
