Thinner than desired, but ok.

It's a rug. Being rubberized entirely on the bottom, plus the weighted corners, does what I bought it for: keep bits and pieces for cruising away as you play while protecting the expensive surface below it. Most anywhere you perform will already have a carpet like surface, so doubt you'd need to bring this to a gig, but it does have a roll-up strap attached if you do. Only gripe: it could be thicker. It is thin like office carpet, which in itself is fine, but when you add spikes found on drum equipment, that pretty much means being that thin, the spikes will likely punch thru over time. So given this carpet was specifically made for drums, you'd think they would have thought of that and made it thicker.

Works great, until it tears

This drum rug served me very well for about six months before my bass drum spurs tore holes in it. If you play any harder than a soft rock gig, you're gonna rip huge slits in the rug, and eventually you'll run out of "fresh" spots to set your spurs. If you're a quiet band, buy this.

Thin but works well if you use Velcro. Needs a different packaging style. #sweepstakes

An overall solid rug for the price paid. I have Velcro attached to it for my drum set and it holds very well. Two downsides: I wish it came in an even larger size, and after taking it out of the package it takes quite a while to learn to lay completely flat.

This rug looks better then the piece of carpet I have been using for my drum kit. The Velcro on the bottom of my Speed King pedal grips it very well. The only con I have with it is that you can't roll it up due to the hard triangle in one of the corners. So, I'm not sure why the strap is mounted to it. The photos on the website show it rolled up, but I wasn't able to roll it up.

Had to get this after my drummers bass drum pedal chipped and scratched my tile floor. Good thickness and stopped my drummer (who plays hard) from traveling forward and further damaging my tile floor.

  • A GOOD RUG BUT I WISH YOU DIDN'T SEND IT FLOLDED UP !

I want to use a padded surface to stand and sing for 3 hours, not for drums. Would this rug be the type to purchase or would you recommend a different type of floor padding?
