Rock N Roller R6RT rough squeeze for a drum set

4 stars pending some reasonable amount of use in the future. I sought smallest cart to accommodate a drum set consisting of 22" bass drum, floor tom, side tom, snare, 22" ride cymbal, hi-hat cymbals, hi-hat stand, stool, and 2 hardware bags. Since drums were not to be in cases, only snare and side tom were to be stacked with wood in between. A main goal was to be able fit my bass drum on the deck and under a shelf, that I would build, atop the cart handles. Phone conversations with Rock N Roller customer service indicated that I would have enough vertical space, between deck and top of handle, to fit my bass drum. This turned out not to be the case. I had to raise the shelf with wood blocks atop the handles attached to the shelf. Probably the R8RT would have done the trick, but I didn't want to deal with a bigger cart in a small car and a deck in 2 pieces in order to get 39" of length which would have been required with the R8RT unless I built a deck as well as a shelf. I have complaints that I have read in several other reviews - 1) non-skid tape on frame was curled off the frame at the ends right out of the box - would not adhere by just trying to smooth out; 2) too much play in cart handles; 3) position of caster brake lever is the same on both casters which makes the lever be on the inside of the cart on one caster - very awkward to get to.
