collapse expand iconDescription

The compact and affordable BT-1 Bar Trigger Pad by Roland makes it easy to add electronic triggering to any drum kit. With a curved shape that mounts on the side of a V-Drums V-Pad or acoustic drum, it provides convenient playing access without disturbing your existing kit layout. The BT-1 is great not only for playing sounds in a V-Drums module or SPD-series percussion pad, but also for convenient control of a variety of functions like start/stop of backing songs and phrase loops, and much more.

Additional Triggering for V-Drums Kits
If you're a V-Drums player, the compact BT-1 makes it simple to incorporate additional triggers without having to add more pads. This gives you access to additional sounds, as well as convenient control of an enormous range of performance features in your V-Drums module or an SPD-series percussion pad. And with its small size, it's easy to add additional BT-1s as needed to continuously expand the expressive power of your Roland percussion rig.

Easily Incorporate Electronics with Acoustic Drums
The BT-1 is an easy and affordable way to integrate electronics with your acoustic kit. Unlike large round pads and inconvenient foot switches, the BT-1 blends seamlessly with your kit without adjusting your setup or playing style. Simply plug the BT-1 into a trigger input on a V-Drums module or SPD-series percussion pad and enjoy a universe of new possibilities that Roland electronic percussion brings.

Expensive ugly with minimal functionality. Cross talk on any hoop. Not worth the expense.

I have mounted on my floor tom, and it's accessible, but out of the way. Good action and sensitivity.

  • Not worth the price.

A highly expensive cow bell. No real extra use.

A great way to add an electric trigger to your set. Stays out of the way and easily positioned.

Great for expanding an electronic drum kit. You can fit it anywhere. Easy to position and move around as needed. Mount on a drum rim or on stand. Works with any sound module. Velocity sensitive and I found if you grab it and hit it, you can choke the sound.

I have a TD-17 kit. Is the BT-1 a "plug n play", or is there a separate module needed to add it?

I'm sorry but I'm not sure. Does your TD-17 have the ability to be expanded? The BT-1 require a input to the module.

Bought a mesh-head kit for quietness regarding the drum-stick making contact with the material/drum-heads (because contact with my older rubber-pad triggers can be heard from nearby rooms). Is this BT-1 trigger-material loud or soft when a stick makes contact with it? In other words, is the stick-contact likely or unlikely to be heard from someone in a nearby room? Thank you for any info.
