I bought one in 1983 when I purchased a brand new Roland JX-8P. The JX is still working and the DP-2 is still working. Never had a problem with either. Nuff said.

I'm curious why the cord is so long. Great purchase.

I bought this 2 months ago and I am very happy with it, I bought it for my Roland Cube40X and it is working really good.

I was afraid to order the DP-2 at first, but I trusted the Roland name for quality. I was right once again for trusting them. This damper pedal is not cheap, it does not move around on the floor and it is built tough.

The Roland DP-2 is a servicable little damper pedal. Advantages are its light weight and low cost. Cord is also a good length -- if you have several synths stacked up it will reach the highest one. Disadvantages are its light weight which means it moves around easily on the ground. Also it has a high profile that makes it tiring to use for a long time. I greatly prefer the Yamaha FC5 for it's low profile and metal construction, though I take this pedal when I travel or if I am using a portable keyboard.
