Roland

collapse expand iconDescription

The Roland KC-400 4-channel keyboard amplifier is an outstanding solution for amplifying your keyboard and synthesizers, complete with onboard mixing and full-range sound. In fact, it's also a well-equipped portable PA with an auxiliary input for external audio and an XLR microphone input for vocals. With a 12" woofer and a separate tweeter driven by 150W of power, the KC-400 is ready for practice sessions and gigs. And for stereo operation, more channels or simply to push more air, you can link two KC-400 amps together using the Stereo Link connection.

Premium Power and Portability

Roland's KC series amplifiers have been some of the most popular keyboard amps for over a decade. This KC-400 represents the latest generation of the KC series, featuring a redesigned power amp and power supply. These not only provide more stable operation than ever, but they also help the KC-400 serve up deeper bass and a wider sonic range overall.

Custom-Designed 12" Speaker for Exceptional Fidelity

To take advantage of its revamped power section, the KC-400 keyboard amp features a custom-designed 12" speaker for exceptional fidelity. Combined with its built-in tweeter, the KC-400 delivers solid lows, prominent mids, and detailed highs. Synth bass patches thump with authority, while piano and organ sounds speak with clarity and detail. Whatever you plug into it, the KC-400 amplifies it with stellar sound quality.

Onboard Mixing and Versatile Connectivity

With the KC-400's built-in mixer, you're able to connect a variety of stereo keyboards and instruments, plus an XLR vocal mic. And via the Stereo Link function, you can easily chain a second KC-400 for more inputs and true stereo amplification on stage. Stereo line outputs are provided on 1/4" jacks for interfacing with PA systems, stage monitors, and recording devices. There's also a Sub Out jack for connecting to a powered subwoofer, with level conveniently tied to the amp's master volume for one-touch control. The KC-400 has a headphones jack as well, perfect for silent practice sessions and discrete stage monitoring.

Worth it Every Time

For over two decades, keyboard players everywhere have relied on Roland's KC amps for their powerful high-fidelity sound, onboard mixing features, versatile connectivity, and lasting durability. With a KC amp by your side, you're in complete control of your stage rig, so you'll always sound great and play your best. And that's worth it every time.

The last Keyboard amp you'll need.

Great quality, amazing sound and power to boost your sound where you need it. I went with the next model up to make sure I had enough oomph and am not disappointed. This works perfectly with my Roland Keyboard with the clear sound I was looking for. I'm so glad I opted for the next model as, in my opinion, it's worth the extra cost. I cannot use the base as I'd like as I'm not sure my neighbors would appreciate it, but it's there. #sweepstakes

Better get Two if you have a stereo keyboard..

I was disappointed with the overall sound as a stand alone amp. I play a Nord Stage 3, and was hoping to get a better mono sound than I actually did. However, I bought this to use in conjunction with another speaker to obtain a true stereo sound. Of course, that can also be accomplished via Roland's Stereo Link and two Roland KC-400 amps.

I own a Roland KC-550 and 2 KC-300 amps. The 400's added 50W of power over the 300 and whatever improvements Roland made to this amp has resulted in a fantastic keyboard amp - I play a Korg Kronos 2-61. The 550 is getting too heavy to schlepp, the 300 underpowered for our gig venues.

  • Highly recommended. Excellent sound, power, and portability.

I use the amp for performances in small settings and home studio and practice sessions. The sound and power is fantastic. I use it with my Nord Stage 3. The stereo inputs are perfect for the Nord. The size and weight make it extremely easy to travel with.

  • All that I need in a keyboard amp

Am now using on stage for small venues. It seems to be very good in that situation, and it is compatible with add ons (another amp for stereo, subwoofer) if needed later.

  • Awesome sound and very powerful!

I love the improvements Roland has done to this amp. Sounds fantastic and it's very powerful. Well worth the price. Perfect size and loud enough for my needs though it is a little heavy but I can handle it fine.

Probably not. This won't do well for a bass.

It depends on what you're looking to use it for. This would be a good amp for practice or more intimate performances.
