Yes, it fits a 15" Macbook Pro Retina, and it is dope.
The day before I ran into GC to buy one of these, my MBP Retina slid off a music stand and landed right on its side. That was the only time I ever saw everyone in my band stop playing at the exact same time. Kudos to Apple; even though it was a thinly-carpeted floor, there wasn't a scratch, dent, or even a busted pixel. But I am not taking that chance again. The hardware is solid and trustworthy. If you knock over your laptop on this thing, the accident was meant to be and you didn't deserve to own a laptop anyway. If you are reading this, you know there is limited adjustability on the table, but I don't see it as an issue. There's limited room for a mouse. If you are heavy on mouse use, you might as well get a folding table. Finally, the clamps are a little too high up for an ultra thin laptop, but practically speaking I don't see any risk. The foam on the clamps holds mine quite tight and, properly adjusted, it won't fall out. One of these days, though, Roland should redesign the clamps to fit thinner computers and, if I was to daydream, include a quick release mechanism. But it gets 5 stars because it does exactly what it needs to do.

Ehhhhh its alright
Extremely sturdy and stable even at its highest position. The footprint is big enough to prevent it from accidentally falling over, but not so big that it takes up too much room. The padded hooks keep your laptop securely in place and are adjustable to fit any width laptop. The only shortcoming is that the top does not fold down flat for storage unless you remove one of the bolts. Either way, compared to every other laptop stand and tripod style music stand I've seen, this thing is built the best. In my opinion way over priced though.

Box was opened and resealed when delivered. Had a G.C. employee reopen so we could check and see if all parts were there. We both thought it was good to go, but when I got home, 1 part was missing. I would still buy from G.C, but will never accept an open box item that's supposed to be new again. Otherwise the stand performs as it should.

I was looking for an Adjustable table for my Electronic Drum Machine. I added some 2 inch wide Velcro and now the Drum machine can be transported without fear of falling off. This was exactly what I was looking for.
Solid and easy to assemble.

Super sturdy, easy to put together. The thing is a rock! My only gripe is that the table part of the stand does not fold down. It's a negative when it comes to packing it and taking it on the road, but I assume that is part of what makes it so sturdy. I would rather be mildly inconvenienced by that then have it drop my laptop.

I really like this as I will use it in video broadcasting studio. I would recommend to others. the only con is that I think the tilt should have a greater ability to adjust it to a greater angle downward.

How much weight can it support ? I have a heavy laptop!
I’m very sorry, the manufacturer has not made that information available. I doubt your laptop is that heavy if it's a conventional unit.submitted4 years ago
