A lot of people still like to believe vst's sound better… and they might… but the experience you get with this module… not just in sound quality but even triggering the digital pads inside a vst is far superior to anything that I have tried before.., it's just the best of the best.

  • The best! Huge improvement by Roland!

Just got the V71! I upgraded from my TD-27KV2 kit that I bought on sale from Guitar Center… At the beginning I was exclusively using VST's but after more use realized how much better module use is. And the v71 is a HUGE improvement! The best of the best!

  • This is a fantastic module

I have only had the V71 module for a few weeks but I am very impressed. The pre-loaded kits sound great and the module offers a tremendous amount of expansion capabilities through the Roland Cloud app. Was relatively plug and play. I'm using this with a DWe set and it works great.

Hey whats up?! Ive been looking at getting another electronic kit. I have a Alesis Strata Prime right now and I mainly just use seperate software for higher quality samples to track drums on a few band projects I have going. I like the kit a lot, dont have too many complaints but I'm thinking about getting one of the highest end Rolands (acoustic design or regular design, still unsure). Anyway, the reason I'm reaching out is I wanted to know if this module is compatible with a non-roland kit? I personally dont see why it would, that wouldnt be a great business model by either company, but I dont know enough about that end to know for sure. Only asking because I would prefer to try module first before jumping all in with roland everything (even though i know for sure it would trigger better roland on roland)

Unfortunately, no. Most high end e-drums don't play well with other brands.
