Great price, great tone. The only stings I have purchased recently and will probably be my preferred choice from now on. Goodbye Ernie Ball, Hello Rotosound.

Replaces Fender 7250 NPS

I originally liked the Fender 7250 NPS strings, and since Fender has decided to mess with their original strings and not package their basses with what has become a standard of the industry, this is the next most-viable string set to use. Some think the D'A strings that are on the basses now are the same. Fail. If the new Fenders have D'ss on them then something's wrong as the silks are missing and the tone went out the window. Any strings that Fender sells with their basses are not the same as they say they are. Deceitful? Yes - but these ROTO RB45s are the same thing tonally/feeling. And cheaper. As a Nickel-Plated Steel string, you get a nice rounded sound with a little darkness that can be EQd out and then the brightness can come out too. Not as bright as pure stainless steels, but a lot easier on your frets and fingers. Who wants bright anyway? If you liked the Fender 7250 NPS -- you'll love the RB45 Nickel Plated Steels too.

I bought these to replace the Factory strings that I used for a year and these lasted twice as long and they are still in great shape. The Rotobass nickel roundwound string offer a great sound and a great feel. for somebody who doesn't play much it is nice to hae strings that don't hurt my soft fingertips
