I've been playing bass guitar since 1983. The first set of round wounds I ever bought were Rotosound Swingbass. Over the years I have tried other strings and have never been as satisfied as I am with Rotosound.

I have wanted to try these strings for a while. Great tone, response and punch while maintaining a solid low-end. I would recommend these strings for any bass player looking to stand out in a band.
Could have been great

Got these for my Traben 5 string bass when I was experimenting with different brands. The E through G strings sounded great, and matched the glowing reviews that normally accompany Rotosounds. The B string, however, did not. It sounded so dull that it didn't even match the tone (and even volume) of the rest of the strings. It was so far off that at first I thought I'd left my old Dunlop string set on. On top of all of this, despite being labeled as long scale, the tapered section of all of the strings just barely passed the nut when I loaded them through the bridge (and I can normally do though body with other long scale strings). I'll probably just stick with DR strings from now on. In summary, the B string sounded like it didn't belong with the set, and if you have a long scale bass, this set isn't for you.
