They are a ton of fun. They open up some pretty funky muted baselines and they're so smooth. but in the end they're coming off and the DR Fat beams are going back on the bass. These are, in my opinion, great for a double HH soapbar pick up bass. I installed these on my sterling stingray5 and while really really fun for a day or two, they're just thick, kind of sounds rubbery and like you're playing at the bottom of a bucket. They also require a complete intonation, bridge adjustment and the G string nut slot was super tight and needs a filing in order for the string to sight well inside. I'm going to put these on my used Washburn xb600 event though it's a 6 string.

Change strings annually with normal maintenance of the guitar; Always use the Roto-Sound Nylon Bass Strings. I have tried others, but always come back to this superior quality set of strings. Would not consider anything other than Roto-Sound. I use RS on all my string instruments.
Best bass strings I've ever played!

Warm, rich, smooth. I slide a lot between tones and they sound and feel fabulous for that!

I throw these on my fretless bass, you can get an almost-vocal sound out of them. Mellow and upright kind of sound, with enough of a pop to play some upbeat jazz styled lines

I've used these on my Ibanez for many years and really like these strings. The classic Rotosound "bite" along with a very smooth finish that is very easy on my fingertips. Highly recommended, especially for those who don't play often enough on a regular basis to to keep their finger tip callouses in shape. BTW these are tape-wrapped so there's not a coating to wear off.

My bass has the lowB so it goes BEADG not EADGC. Are these strings appropriate for my bass?
Yes
