They look great, they play great.

I don't play alot so my fingers are sensitive when I do play. These strings are comfortable and give a great sound. I am not a fan of the buzzing sound that round wound strings make and these give a clean smooth beefy sound that I love to play. I recommend these to anyome who wants a good looking (black strings on a black bass look great) and good plying string.

Decent strings...

I put these on an acoustic bass... they feel soft and very pliable.. however.. as is usual whenever I buy Rotosound.. I never can really get "THAT SOUND" I am looking for. That vibration that rings tried and true. They sound a little muddy... but the price was right and I'm not using this acoustic bass in any professional venue.. just for parties and jamming for fun. The strings work for that purpose. Was hoping to be able to give a greater rave review than this.. but I have to be honest. If I had to go on a gig.. I would not use these. HOWEVER, I need to be fair.. whenever I've had a problem with Rotosound in the past.. they have been very responsive and good for customer service.

Will replace as soon as I receive new strings. Don't sound like nylon wrapped.

Nice strings, have more of an acoustic sound to them. Prefer these over other bass strings.

Will the Rotosound black nylon wound tru bass work on Fender Mustang PJ? What might I expect in sound quality? Mostly play blues and jazz so a more upright bass sound would be good.

    1) Yes. 2) Upright is what it would sound like. These are a very heavy gauge and the neck will need a tweak.
