SABIAN

collapse expand iconDescription

Use the Sabian XSR Chinese to play bright, but dirty ride patterns or fast, attacking accents. Its raw, nasty response is tonally tight and highly aggressive.

XSR is not a budget series, but rather a line of smartly-priced cymbals that would not be out of place on any drum kit, on any stage

It sounds great in person; It has a lot of sustain, it sounds trashy, everything you'd expect a china to sound. But once I stepped in the studio to record with it, all I can hear on record is the ear piercing, disgusting harshness of the cymbal that no mixing or mic placement can fix.

Cymbal holds up well considering it's played every day for 3 hrs.
