Very sturdy and AMAZINGLY simple and FUN instructions!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect when my wife got this product for her home office aside from the noticeable heaviness while lugging it up the stairs. Well I finally got the chance to put it together and I have to say I was pleasantly impressed. First the packaging for shipping was like Fort Knox. This gave me a great feeling right out of the box (pun intended) that the product was not damaged during transport and the shipper takes pride in the product and its quality. When I pulled the pieces out they were all very well labeled and easy to organize. The thing that prompted me to write a review however were the instructions. In a day where online products are mass produced and shipped from online stores all around the world. . . The directions can sometimes be frustrating to say the least. Not in this case!!! The directions were amazingly simple to follow, they were written very well and my favorite part were the little playful side-notes which I actually really enjoyed and appreciated. ""Now might be a good time to refresh your drink. "" Etcetera. . . Once everything was put together I did an overall check and this is a very sturdy and very well manufactured desk. I feel confident that my wife will get a lot of use out of this desk and it will be perfect for her home office.

Turned out alright

I bought this computer desk from, Roses Dept. Store in Marion, IN, in February. The only reason i had purchased it from there is because none of the other stores here, sale the Sauder brand computer desk. Well after i had gotten it home & started sorting it out, i noticed some of the wooden pieces had chips along the edge. But after assembling it anyway, i thought, it doesn't look that bad. Of course i had taken a black marker & colored in the bad spots, & even now, it still looks alright.

    This desk is very sturdy and solidly built. The directions were easy to understand and follow. Also love the way hardware was sorted and sealed up in little sections - made it so easy to find the right pieces. We are pleased with our purchase.

    I bought this desk when I was in college back in 1990. It was pretty cheap back then so it fit my budget. I figured it would last me a few years, and when I was done with school and was working I would buy a better, more sturdy desk. Well, I did buy a new desk, (which was three times the price and lasted me only about 5 years) but I never got rid of this one. I married and had a couple kids, who used it until they went off to college. It has moved five times, endured spills and tantrums, and is still perfectly usable. It is banged up, with the veneer worn away at the edges and on the desktop surface, but it is sturdy and works great in my home office. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. This little desk is a dependable workhorse.

    I am retired and do a lot of crafting using my computer. I had a large desk in my ""creations"" room, and this desk fits me much better. I am more organized because of this. Thank you.
