Love it!
I bought this cymbal case as a surprise for my boyfriend. All of his other drum cases are SKB also. His band travels a few times a month to different churches. I always go to help set up and tear down. He used to use a soft cymbal bag and we would wrap each cymbal in a towel. NOW, this AMAZING case has taken all the hard work out of packing the cymbals up. I no longer feel nervous about carrying the cymbals and possibly damaging them in the soft case. The SKB-CV8 Cymbal Vault is FANTASTIC. The cymbals are VERY secure, and it is VERY easy to use! I couldn't be happier :)

This case is perfect for transporting cymbals. I have owned a lot of SKB cases for all my drums, hardware, and cymbals over the years. A couple of things that I would change with this case would be to provide more of the padded dividers for the cymbals (which only comes with four pads, yet the manufacturer claims this case can hold up to 8 cymbals. Which would mean that cymbals would have to be stacked on each other without pads between them), and the other thing would be a quick release locking mechanism, instead of the large nut and bolt. Apart from that...this is a great product for storing, transporting, and protecting your cymbals.

Pretty good tool and easier to use than bags if you have several cymbals. Plastic could be a bit stiffer but probably at additional weight so there is a trade-off. Problem with only 4 pads is easily solved with larger pads sold by Meinl. All works well together.
I don't trust the closing strap

I'm not sure about that strap for an airplane. I regret not going for the typical bolt that goes through the case.

It's a good product, I wish it had more cymbals dividers (has only 4), and they could be thinner too. The plastic sleeve that over the pivot should be longer, at least 1/2 inch, because some of my cymbals just touch the metal and it's not good...but that is an easy fix you can do your own. I can fit, 1 ride, 1 china, 4 crashes, hi-hat..so a total of 7 cymbals and you might still have room for a 10" splash
good

excellent case. First time I purchased a cymbal case in 30 years. my previous one was a hard shell anvil type. this is very nice with the bolt to keep the cymbals from moving and no wheels and not handle is much better for me on the road, less to break. recommended !!
