The Schecter Damien Platinum 6 Electric Guitar has a double-cutaway mahogany body, set 3-pc maple neck, and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. It's loaded with the classic combination of an EMG-81 active humbucker in the bridge position and an EMG-85 active humbucker in the neck position for all the heavy rock tones you need. Grover tuning machines offer total tuning stability. The electric guitar's appointments include bat inlays, multi-ply fretboard and body binding, and satin chrome hardware.

Grover tuners
ROTOMATICS WITH 18:1 GEAR RATIO (102-18 SERIES) The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination

Rosewood fingerboard
The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.

EMG Active 81/85 pickups
One of the most popular EMG's the 81 is the one that started a revolution. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the tone was designed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as blistering. Recommended pairings include the classic 81/85 setup.

3-Piece Maple neck
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Forget the PRS birds..these are bats, dude! This was my first Schecter and it is a total beast. Perfect low action, excellent pickups, smooth neck, great design. Everything is Gibson, Fender, Gibson, Fender blah blah. Well let me tell you, I teach at Guitar Center and have played pretty much all of the guitars on the wall. You can't beat the action of a Schecter. This guitar got me through Berklee guitar chords 101, 201, and scales. I got straight As. You will not be disappointed.

Well built, looks good and sounds great. Matt finish compliment the platinum inlays. Came with some hex keys but no documentation (it's a guitar, doesn't really need any).

I'm a violinist making the switch to playing guitar, and I spent quite a bit of time searching for a an instrument that would be suitable for someone who'd be advancing very quickly from beginner to intermediate. I also wanted to avoid the pitfalls of cheaper instruments (needing frequent adjustments/tuning, subpar sound, low quality craftsmanship, etc) because this would be the guitar I would learn on and very likely be the first one I perform with. This one met all of the criteria, AND it matches my personal style! I only have two very minor nitpicks, one being as a female player with a sizeable bust, it's a little difficult to play in some positions but that's more or less expected with most of the body shapes on the market. Same with the size of the fingerboard and tricky nature of playing this hotness with petite hands/shorter arms - not the maker's fault.

  • Great tone and quality in this guitar.

I've been looking for the 'perfect' guitar for me, and after a month of having the Damien Platinum 6 I feel like I found it. It has great tone with the EMGs and Mahogany body. The Set-Neck w/Ultra Access is really great and the satin finish on the neck makes it very easy to slide up and down the neck. When I got the Damien there was little to no fret buzz, I made some little adjustments myself and now there is absolutely no fret buzz. It always stays in tune, the Grover tuners are always great. Overall this is a great guitar and I would recommend for any style of genre.

When I first got it, the feel of the neck just felt like home to me and it was so fast. To rid of any confusion. This is NOT a gloss neck. The pictures don't do the guitar justice. The neck is very smooth and so is the rest of the guitar. I would recommend this to anyone who plays rock or metal. It's a nice, dark looking guitar.
