Schecter Guitar Research Limited-Edition Stiletto Studio-5 5-String Bass Transparent Purple Burst

Description
The Schecter Stiletto Studio-5 bass brings a show-stopping combination of eye-catching style and immense tonal versatility. The Stiletto Studio-5 features a maple top with a gorgeous transparent purple burst finish, neck-thru construction for superior sustain, and EMG active pickups to handle any musical situation. Rock-solid lows, punchy mids, and crisp highs—this Schecter bass has it all. Musicians seeking a reliable, flexible bass that makes a visual statement need look no further than the Schecter Stiletto Studio-5.
Neck-Thru Design Provides Exceptional Sustain
The Stiletto Studio-5's neck-thru design, with mahogany wings anchored to a 5-piece maple and walnut neck, produces deep, resonant tones and sustain for days. The 34" scale length keeps the low B tight and focused, while 24 jumbo frets provide ample room for expressive, melodic playing higher up the neck. A fast, thin C-shaped profile makes navigating the 20-fret ebony fingerboard a breeze.
EMG Active Pickups Deliver Versatile Tone
Dual EMG 40DCX active pickups, controlled by a 3-band active EQ, yield massive versatility. The neck pickup provides a warm, round tone perfect for fingerstyle and jazz, while the bridge pickup delivers an aggressive growl suited to rock and slap styles. With the ability to scoop mids, boost bass, and add top-end sizzle, you can craft your perfect tone for any genre.
Premium Components and Construction
From the contoured mahogany body to the black-on-black hardware, the Stiletto Studio-5 exudes a premium, professional-grade feel. Grover tuners keep each of the 5 strings locked in tune through the most punishing practices and performances. The sleek control layout, with volume, pickup blend, bass, mid, and treble controls, provides intuitive tone shaping on the fly.
A Showstopper, Inside and Out
Commanding looks meet exceptional build quality and tone in the Schecter Stiletto Studio-5. The transparent purple burst finish, with its deep purple edges fading into a vibrant maple top, is guaranteed to turn heads. Beneath the jaw-dropping esthetics lies a bass ready to handle any musical task with power and finesse. For players seeking to make a visual and aural statement, the Stiletto Studio-5 delivers in spades.

Best bass I've ever purchased.
I've been using this bass for everything since I opened the box. I have an ibanez SR700 with Bartollini's and this thing blows it out of the water. Don't get me wrong, the ibanez sounds great, but this bass is incredible. Tone is amazing and you get fantastic control out of the active emgs. I played the stilleto years ago and hated it. B string was super buzzy and had an awful sound. This newer version is amazing. The cleanest low b string I've ever played. String spacing is fantastic as well, not too close, so slapping is a breeze. Can't wait to gig it.

Good, not great
I was really digging this bass when I first picked it out. An affordable neck through with EMGs, right? I held on to this bass for nearly a month before finally turning it back in, and this is why… I noticed the Low E would get distorted when playing in the lower register (5th fret and below) so I tuned back up from DGCA to EADG, still fuzzy so I keep trouble shooting only to observe that the cheap plastic nut the manufacturer provided saddles the string way too low along the fret board. I decided that I would head back to GC and try something else or get them to fix it. Sure enough they have a whole line up of new Schector basses that I start playing, and each one has the same issue, some of them worse than mine! I returned it and bought another neck through with a brass nut instead. I'm not sure if it's the manufacturer or the folks at GC who are setting them up, but either way the plastic nut will be a standard no-go for me in the future.

Bought this as my first bass and instantly fell in love. The craftsmanship is the best i've experienced on a 5 string. The tuning and intonation is also remarkable even fresh out of the box. This bass can do it all with the 3 way tone melting pot, you can cover Jazz Fusion to death metal
i am very happy with my new LE Stilleto Studio 5 string Bass

This bass speaks for itself!!! The bass maintains a rock sturdy setup, that wont budge, alongside perfect tonality. Not only is it extremely alluring, it is a dream to play, with its soft neck contouring into its body as a whole unit, Her low B string rips hard, utilizing EMG pickups, holding a brilliant sustain. 10 out of 10. I enjoyed the 4 string model as well & honestly would even consider purchasing the 4 string down the road for other purposes. Thank you Schecter Guitar Research.

Bought this bass online, it's beautiful but I have no idea how it plays because it arrived with the action so low the strings are rubbing the frets without any pressure on them. First purchase from GC, though the shipping speed was fast not at all impressed with the lack of set up

This was a bass I bought upgraded from the previous Omen model that's 649. I highly suggest spending the extra money for it. Tone is great with adjustment possibilities. The color is nice and it's not mirrored-- more natural. The frets feel good and the strings are easy to press.
